In June, 1999, Joyce met a member of the Unborn Jesus Apostolate after attending Mass and reciting the Rosary at St Lawrence Martyr in Torrance, CA. A months later, she invited the Unborn Jesus Apostolate to give a talk, and then to lead the Mary Star Community in Arkansas into prayer at their own Unborn Jesus Shrine.
